HANOVER TWP. — Four lucky kids — plus one good sport of a teacher — joined Harlem Globetrotter Hops Pearce on the gym floor at Hanover Area Memorial Elementary School Monday morning, and soon the basketball wizard had his little group of protegees passing a red, white and blue ball behind their backs and under their knees. The student body of fourth, fifth and sixth graders cheered like mad as Blake Siene, Mariah Trujillo, Luke Pierce and Brooke Myzick formed a “Magic Circle” with Pearce, and they ratcheted their applause up a few more decibels as English/language arts teacher Anthony Shipula and Luke did a little dance.
